Hi, my son used to have the same allergy, but he has outgrown it at the age of 1 and a half years. He used to have soy allergy as well, and a few others. He is still allergic to wheat and other grains containing gluten, eggs, and potatoes. He is now 2 years and 3 months old.
It's not a good idea to replace cow dairy with soy products, because a child allergic to milk easily develops a soy allergy as well. Ask your doctor for advice. If he or she says you can use soy, at least don't exaggerate.
There's a range of products out there, you just have to find it all. Go to some health food stores and ask around a bit.
I suggest rice milk, but always use a kind enriched with calcium.
I live in Belgium, so I'm not sure if all the products here are also available where you live, but I've found soy-free, dairy-free custard based on rice. It comes in the flavours vanilla and chocolate.
Lactose-free products based on cow milk still contain lots of casein, so stay away from those products.
To replace cream in cooked dishes or desserts, use coconut cream. It cannot be whipped though.
There is also rice cream available, and soy cream if you want to use soy.
Butter can be replaced with oil or 100% vegetable margarine, but margarine usually contains soy even though it might not say that clearly on the ingredient list. "Vegetable oils or fat" might be soy, or maybe not. I hate it when ingredients are not clearly defined. If it's not clear, don't use it.
I don't know if you still breastfeed your child or not. I breastfed my son for 2 years so I never had to bother with finding a right bottle milk. You might have to look for an alternative milk if you don't breastfeed anymore, but I can't help you with that.
If you still have any questions, just ask :)
Greetings and good luck ;)
