Sickness with Neocate
HELP!!! My 13 week old daughter has just been diagnosed with reflux and the doctors have put her on Neocate. She has only been on it for 24hours and keeps bringing up a thick clear stringy liquid, which smells like greasy chips. Has anybody else notice this problem? Is this normal?

My 11 week old daughter was diagnosed with reflux and was put on zantac. I put her on neocate because of a cow's milk protein intolerance and possible soy allergy. The pediatrician really had no direction for me and my 2 year old daughter had the same intolerance and her then pediatrician put her on neocate. I noticed when my 11 week old daughter first started neocate, she spit up more and it was a bit thicker but it's not always like that and she's been on it now for about 5 weeks. I stopped giving her the zantac because once her system got better from the formula change, her reflux seemed to get better as well. Give it at least 2 weeks to start working.
