Healing Eczema Working With Your Doctor

When your baby has eczema, a strong partnership between you, your family and the doctor is key. Here are some tips to help you make that relationship a good one.

Tips for a Strong Parent/Doctor Relationship

  • Give the doctor as much medical information about you, your baby, and your family as you can
  • Make a list of questions and concerns before you go to the appointment
  • Use an Allergy Diary to keep track of your baby's symptoms and treatments and share with your doctor
  • If you don't understand something your doctor says, don't be afraid to ask for an explanation
  • Be honest with the doctor and share your point of view
  • Take the time to listen to your doctor and the other members of the healthcare team (nurses, pharmacists, etc.)
  • Don't be afraid to talk about sensitive or embarrassing subjects
